Let My Nature Lab come to you! All outreach programs with My Nature Lab feature hands-on lessons with live reptiles and amphibians. Our experienced educators will work with you to create a unique program tailored to your group's needs and interests. Along with facilitating the discovery of life science, our programs focus on helping people develop deep, meaningful, and personal connections to the natural world necessary to developing a lifelong love for learning and dedication to the environment.

Read below for details on our variety of prepared lesson plans. If you have specific topics you would like us to highlight during your visit, we are more than happy to adjust our lesson to meet your needs or build a new lesson just for you!

Our programs are available as single-day events or multi-week, in-depth explorations of reptiles and amphibians. Scholarships may be available to help reduce the cost of these programs.

Scout Troops

Local Reptiles and Amphibians

In this lesson, students will learn about animals that can be found in our own backyards, their adaptations and basic needs, and how scouts can help to conserve and protect these animals and their habitats. Scouts will get up close with several local species such as snapping turtles, bullsnakes, tiger salamanders, and more!

Senior Living

What are Reptiles/ Amphibians?

Embark on an exploration of the incredible diversity of reptiles and amphibians by talking about myths, misconceptions, and the amazing features of these animals. Whether participants are seasoned amphibian appreciators or have never held a snake before, we go at your group's speed to learn, discover, and discuss how we can all make a difference in the lives of these animals.
