Give your students an unforgettable opportunity to explore the fascinating world of reptiles and amphibians!
At My Nature Lab, students come face-to-face with living animals while discovering the incredible adaptations, behaviors, and biology that make them extraordinary.
Our field trips combine engaging, hands-on science education with time to independently explore our living collection. Led by an experienced conservation biologist, each visit encourages curiosity, scientific thinking, and a deeper appreciation for wildlife.
Unlike a traditional museum experience, our field trips are designed for one classroom at a time, creating a personalized educational experience with some of the world's most remarkable animals.

Logistics
75 Minutes | $550 per Classroom
Each field trip includes:

Interactive Wildlife Education (50 minutes): Engaging, age-appropriate instruction featuring live reptiles and amphibians, hands-on learning opportunities, and fascinating insights into animal biology, adaptations, behavior, and conservation.

Open Lab Exploration (20 minutes): Students explore our living collection at their own pace, observe animals up close, and discover the incredible diversity of reptiles and amphibians.

Arrival and Orientation (5 minutes): An introduction to My Nature Lab, including important expectations for a safe and enjoyable visit.
Our lessons can be tailored to your students' grade level and curriculum objectives, making each visit a meaningful extension of classroom learning.
Field Trip Details
Availability: Field trips are offered year-round by reservation, with Mondays preferred. Other days may be available when they do not conflict with our regularly scheduled educational programs.
Duration: 75 minutes.
Group Size: One classroom per visit, with a maximum of 40 total participants, including students, teachers, and chaperones.
Price: $550 per classroom. All students, teachers, and chaperones are included in the price.
Adult Supervision: A minimum of one adult for every eight elementary students is required. Teachers and chaperones must actively supervise their students throughout the visit, particularly during Open Lab exploration. High school groups are exempt from the minimum ratio but must remain under school staff supervision.
What to Bring: My Nature Lab is maintained at approximately 80°F year-round for our animals. Please dress accordingly and bring water bottles. We do not have a drinking fountain, and food and snacks are not permitted in the Main Lab. Two outdoor picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved.
Animal Safety: All animal interactions are directed and supervised by My Nature Lab staff. For the safety of our animals and visitors, students must follow Lab rules and instructions at all times. Open Lab exploration may be shortened or ended if safety or supervision requirements are not met.
