Biology Lesson - Week 4
Food chains help us map the flow of energy in an ecosystem. This lesson is an introduction to food chains so we can begin to understand the ecological interactions of our planet.
Food Chains Activity
Food chains are fun to build. All you need is a producer and a consumer to make one. In this activity, you will create as many food chains as you can with the animals on the download sheet.
A food chain is a map of the energy flow in an ecosystem. Where does the energy for a food chain come from?
What type of organisms are plants in a food chain?
What type of organism is a snake in a food chain?
Omnivores are a type of consumer that consume the following:
1) Only plants
2) Only animals
3) Plants and animals
4) They make their own energy through photosynthesis
